Looking at the top 8 of L1 and the fixtures they have tomorrow - all very very winnable - what sort of odds would you get on an 8-game acca for Plymouth, us, Weds, Pompey, Bolton, Barnsley, Posh, and Derby to all win?

Have a look at skybet and build your accy. It'll show you potential returns. :)

44.75/1 on SkyBet

(36.77/1 for the 2 up acca - paid out as a winner if the team goes 2 goals up at any point no matter the final outcome)

(Know that’s no use to you but incase anyone else fancies it)

Knew 365 would probably be better, William Hill maybe even more so.

For the longest time, (and I haven’t looked in years) Ladbrokes site and others were blocked in the US. Might be more relaxed now with Draft Kings and others becoming more mainstream

I can’t be dealing with such big accas. Find relying on 8 teams too much, something ALWAYS goes wrong. I’ve had some success with some 3 or 4 game bets this season. 8/1 - 12/1 sort of range. For tomorrow I’ve gone:

Norwich
Derby
Peterborough
Newcastle

8/1

Good luck.

I’ve won 3 already this season out of about 10 I’ve put on, happy with that. For the ‘mugs game’ brigade I don’t disagree, completely understand the perils of gambling. I routinely stick to a fiver a week on an acca. I enjoy the process of selecting the bet and adds a bit of interest to games I otherwise wouldn’t care about. If I win it’s a nifty £50 profit and if not I’ve had a bit of fun for the price of a pint.

Gamble responsibly though folks.

I do £2.50 a week on the football, plus the odd one on hot tips from Rommy or Beattie Is Back.

Started last season with £10 in the 365 account, ended the season with over £350. Took £300 of it out, and then had a win off a free bet on of the big summer horse races (might have been the Gold Cup?!) for another £50.
Won another £30 acca at the start of this season, but nothing since (there’s usually one that lets you down!).

Annoyingly, they’re not doing much in the way of free bets at the moment, I did alright out of them last season.

Very much depends on the level you’re at imo. Some markets (absolutely not football), if you’re skilled enough you can make good money. I’ve been up 8 of the 9 years I’ve done Cheltenham antepost betting what most would consider high stakes. Some win, some lose but the skill is beating the price antepost and making the profit long term across the end of the week. Also had people on here pissing themselves laughing when Benie Des Dieux fell at the last when 20 lengths clear because they knew I was on antepost. That fall cost me £12,000 (not that I told TWTD that before or after the event as it wasn’t necessary). Was stood about 20 yards from the hurdle as well. That’s a low. Likewise Envoi Allen winning the Ballymore at odds on when I’d been on all year at 25/1 for many thousands was good. That’s a high. It’s swings and roundabouts. In my opinion if you can’t cope with the lows, have the need to chase the losses back or expect to win without putting in many hours and hours and hours a week studying the form of whatever sport you’re betting, you haven’t got a hope in hell of making it pay. Not a chance.

I understand the ideology of dismissing gambling as ‘a mugs game’ but it’s worth pointing out there are some of us out there proven to be capable of doing it professionally. I don’t do it professionally anymore but do still work in the industry. Plenty of people clued up enough to make it pay. But doing weekly accumulators and big stake singles on premier league football matches (think about how exploited that market would be through mass consumption) is simply not the way to go.

As for the OP, Plymouth look a very decent price don’t they at 4/5. Sheffield Wednesday at 1/3 less so. That said, all might well win. Good luck.

Same problem in Thailand where all gambling is illegal, so all gambling sites are blocked.

‘Water of a Duck’s back’ as the great man would say - my accounts are £350 up so I guess not so much of a mug after all. In the spirit of this thread, I’ll put a bet on Illinois’ shout just for the crack although with a slight change. I’ve tweaked it for a Barnsley - Exeter draw.

I've had over 20 years consecutive profit, which isn't bad.
Value is the key and that doesn't necessarily mean 'big price'
I mainly stick to horses and some odds on shots are real value, particularly novice hurdles.
Perth is a good port of call, as the hurdles are the easiest in the UK.
I do like a bit of golf as the prices are generally attractive.
