He's quality, and to think this is the first time in his pro career he's had a proper run of playing games. That there are still people out there who don't rate him because of a couple of iffy games when he first joined having only joined up with his teammates that week from Australia is mind-boggling.

Yeah that's crazy. But it would be nice to have some decent cover for Davis.. We are flogging him like a pit pony atm. It was mentioned recently, that he's playing left back, left midfield and left wing, all on his own. Which summed it up well , for me. Leigh getting the odd start and coming on for last 15-20, would be perfect right now. And was probably what KM intended before Leigh's injury.
Davis is a world apart, from what we had down our left, last few seasons.

Edmundson doesn't get forward as much as JD, but has driven forward a few times more recently. I don't think we will get more support for Davis unless we bring someone like Leigh into LCB, as he has the ability to operate more like JD.
But both Davis and Burns do loads of running down the wings from that WB position. Both always give everything.
The Leigh thing is interesting. Not sure who said finisher, but it is a good way of looking at it. It would be great if we had the same option as coverage for Burns, to give him a break or close out games when tired. Or maybe it is that we should be using KVY a bit more often than we are. |  |
