I've no idea what you're talking about, but again, pulling out one example of something daft doesn't make people not smart/clever. He may well lack social skills, but that doesn't make him not smart in other areas. I'm pretty sure we've all said daft things, yet I imagine most on here are smart in many respects. Certainly in terms of our jobs.
Honestly, Musk isn't even a hill I want to die on, and I'm very rarely on twitter so I have no skin in this game, but I have read a bit about him and some of you are just coming across as jealous about someone much more successful than you. Which happens a lot on here.

I've never said it wasn't smart to be clear. He is / was a decent entrepreneur but he is another one of these billionaires people assume actually do any of the engineering when it's very obvious they don't.
Elon has spent the last few days arguing with the people who DO know what they are talking about and telling them they are wrong and then firing them. That's not a smart move.

A live solution that handles probably some of the largest scales of traffic on the planet and almost never goes down.
I'm not surprised they had that employee count but I highly doubt they can run as they did on 20% of their workforce sacked all at once with seemingly no handover plan. It's not like they've got rid of particular teams or parts of the business that were making a loss, they've been firing randomly.
