When I suggested we should sign him in January, it was stated that he is far too slow. I guess he can manage being slow with that sort of ability.
I don't get why some are so adamant he would be a bad signing. I am not suggesting he should be playing every minute of every match. We utilise a squad with our attackers already and he would be a very decent alternative to have in my opinion. I trust McKenna's judgement, though, and if he is able to get better in, then great.

Always forget they don’t count.
It's a fair question to ask when we want a goal scorer and don't get many penalties.
He would likely be a decent option if he fancied it and he would be playing for what could be a Championship contract so would be a great opportunity for him.
Six goals which were not penalties in half a season for them is decent.

Is it true that he is not fit enough to close players down like he used to do? It is a pretty good return for a lower mid-table side if he is that slow. But, yes, he would need to fit the system and if he is just standing on the halfway line or in the box for set pieces and banging them in, maybe he isn't what we need.
I wonder if it’s a done deal, after Ashton said about some deals ‘being down the line’ he would be one we could talk to now as he’s out of contract in January.
I would be very happy to have him, big, strong, technically excellent and is CURRENTLY scoring goals against our opponents, in a team at the wrong end of the table, it's almost a no-brainer.

Not really sure it matters if they’re out of contract or not. You can sign players any day of the year, they just wouldn’t ‘join’ until the transfer window opened.
