I'm not sure what's the lesser of 2 evils, having some of the 25,000 Town fans heading to town from 2:30pm for a 7pm kick off, or the possibility that 100 or so Peterborough fans might hang around Ipswich drinking from 5pm. They of course could still decide to do that if they were that way inclined, not sure why this really changes much. I imagine most would've either been driving or just get the train back to Peterborough anyway, whether it was an early k/o or 3pm. Could've been back by kick off. | |

yes but Ive always wondered if the issue was the club were considering somekind of fanzone extension for that extra 2hrs, and the police werent happy with that so moved the game, but then the club chose not to do the fanzone but too late to switch it back.
because as you say youll get 5hrs drinking in before the game now

I asked a lad at work who goes everywhere with Posh whether they'd be going straight back after the game and he said yes because they wouldn't be allowed in any of the pubs anyway. |  | | |
