Pigott still has 18 months on his Town contract, presumably on high wages as he came on a free. I understand his wish to move from Pompey, but I doubt we would find another club to pay as much of his wages as they are doing so he could prove hard to shift. If he comes back here (I don't think Pompey can force a recall) he'll kick his heels as a squad player. His value will have plummeted again so hard to see who will take on his wages for next season. |  |

I keep pointing out that he was terrific in the first few games of last season.
I think we did not play to his attributes after that and quite possibly his attributes do not suit our style of play. But players do not generally become bad overnight.
There is still a decent player in there. |

I wouldn't be adverse to that, especially if we can't get the #1 striker target.
I always thought his technical attributes would have been well-suited to McKenna's 9 role. His pressing/athletic attributes may leave a bit to be desired though. |  | | |

Would surprise me if that were to be the case from what I'm hearing from this end. Another number nine I'm sure will be the priority in the window, which I don't think is any surprise to anyone, but I don't think they'll be looking at Pigott again. Even if he were to come back with a view to going out later in the window, he couldn't play for us in the meantime due to the three club rule.
Worth adding that I doubt Town would be in too much of a hurry to do favours for Pompey.

Presume Pompey are covering a decent chunk of his wages. Highly doubt we are going to want him back in our squad taking up £9k a week of budget when he proved last season he isn't cut out for McKenna. Seems Pompey have realised much the same as we did last summer, he isn't actually very good by top 6 L1 standards. | | | |

Let’s try and get somebody decent in, leave Pigott at Portsmouth and pay the bloke up at the end of the season. KM clearly doesn't rate him.
