Must have a deal lined up elsewhere - but where?!

Is he injured? Didn't see that, say it's nothing serious, I'm not saying as the main striker we desperately need, just an experienced lump off the bench when teams are camped..

It's January after all, hard to get exactly what you need, he's free, it's not even a gamble imo

I'm with it if we get our main targets who ever they are. But its a squad space so it really does need to be well planned (which I'm sure it will be if it does happen)

Left out of the squad for their last 4 matches. Not reported as injured. Possible Forest Green were playing players they knew they would have available after December. The fact they lost all 4 of those matches scoring just twice makes you wonder whether they should have been playing him, though.

Yeah injured. Foot injury

It's a no from me I'm afraid. That ship sailed many moons ago same with Rhodes.

As much as it is great to think about players returning back home. Connor's injury profile and potential resale value isn't a fit imho. Sure if a backup to Freddy and a big intention signing maybe.

But I just don't see it, it's a real gamble for me. Don't think we are the sort of club to take gambles just to fill squad places anymore.

You can all bleat at me if wrong.

As I said back in December...Wickham is the one logical choice for us.

If it's initially short-term, and the conditions are right to safeguard us re his injury record, then the idea a 6ft 3in striker who's played 120 times in the Prem, and who, while never prolific, is good at hold-up and assists is not a possibilty to dismiss lightly. Things may be looking up, but we're not there yet, and our management are not such as to entertain inflated ideas of where we stand at this time.

We're no longer the joke to which we'd become accustomed, but for most footballers in their twenties we're only someone their dad may have told them about. Wickham would know a bit better.

It'd be a risk as our only option given his injury record, but him + 1 other would be great. I'd assume he was on a pittance at FGR so would be pretty inexpensive. If he is fit he is comfortably still a decent Championship striker.

2400 a week according to salary sport so would be a reasonable choice with a low risk for 4 months.

Interesting view of wickham imo. Think quite a few view him with 2011 eyes.

26 goals in 10 years.

Just 1 more goal than norwood this season.

I wish Ipswich fans would stop being so obsessed with looking backwards.

We're not going that way.
