Seems to be two actual town accounts on there that agree with her, the other 300 or so against.

Sadly I know people on facebook who I grew up with that post similar stuff. "Proud to wear a poppy even if it offends immigrants", "we give illegal immigrants luxury hotel accommodation whilst our veterans freeze on the streets" etc etc.
Had to unfriend a few of them as it was relentless.
I don't believe that they think they are bigots. IMO they have been bombarded with meme after meme on social media. They are basically groomed, even though they are middle aged. | |

They might not believe it, they might not care either. But the decades of "me first" and Thatcherism has absolutely destroyed the moral fabric of this country. It's gone from being present to being the default setting in far too many areas.
Hopefully this backlash after the pandemic and the strikes that are coming won't result in the same thing as it did back then. | |
