Indeed - a logical conundrum of which Bertrand Russell himself would have been proud...

Indeed a much more pleasant place with him on ignore. Though I do enjoy seeing how he manages to offend those on the right AND those on the left. He’s like the weird loner in the local pub that everyone avoids…

Harry? (n/t) on 10:57 - Feb 9 by Ryorry | Putting someone down for being a "hospital porter" (which people do incredibly valuable jobs btw, as you should know - hospitals couldn't function without them) when they are well known as actually being a highly qualified & experienced nurse, would be beneath contempt even for a tory. For someone who's supposedly a socialist, or at least on the left in party politics, it's completely despicable. |
he started it, sir Now come down of your high horse, it was no more than a mild joke at the expense of some one who constantly derides me - it was in that context, so no need for you to get offended in behalf of hospital porters It is a forum, so unless it is libellous then it's OK by me - and there is no chance of him physically stalking me (I hope) So maybe an idea might be to take they key out of your back, not everything is to be taken seriously

No, am not having that. Irrespective of "who started it", trying to belittle someone by implicitly disrespecting an entire group of (even lower-paid) key workers isn't funny, it just reveals your inner self.

Yep, clearly too far and rather than admit it was completely out of order Harry will bunker down and defend his childish insults (similar to all of the fatso nonsense that he was posting in between school lessons). However - for a bit of balance next time we see the "all Tory voters are scum" narrative on here maybe we'll see a bit of politeness and constructive engagement in return too - as Badger has happily engaged in that and that's fairly toxic too. On this one though, agree - out of order.

I was talking to somebody about Bertrand earlier. He used to visit a house in Lavenham to pleasure one of his several mistresses, probably Lady Constance Malleson who was the wife of actor Miles Malleson (you probably remember his as the poetic executioner in Kind Hearts and Coronets). As the daughter of an earl, Constance had the courtesy title of Lady in her own right.
