I was happy with that choice when it was made. He came across as having potential and the reasoning seemed good. I am happy for him to be given more chance than to sack him now too.

First full season as a manager. Most of it has been at the top of the league. He’s learning on the job, but the process may cost us top 2 this season. If we fail to get playoffs then questions should be rightly asked - but not yet. | |

I think you have to be clear that an improvement is a realistic prospect. If we couldn't replace McKenna with someone as good, it would be like when nodge sacked Farke and replaced him with Dean Smith. I don't think anyone thought that was an upgrade.
If the plan is to replace with someone not yet in management then why wouldn't you stick with McKenna? The only other option is to go with experience. I think our current set up will be looking for continuity too so a manager who plays with the style we are building. Maybe Schumacher could be persuaded. I would take Darren Moore but would we be able to get him? I am not sure there are many other options and, personally, I can't see any that scream an improvement on what we have. | |
