Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh 12:38 - Mar 10 with 2022 views | itfcjoe | What does the future hold for them here? Talk about coaching and leadership roles, but will we really need them both next season to stay even in a non-playing capacity? It'll be interesting to see, because surely very little chance they get a playing contract here - at Aluko's age you'd assume he'd move on somewhere to keep playing.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 12:43 - Mar 10 with 1968 views | hype313 | Would imagine Keogh being kept on in some coaching capacity as I would suspect he will call it a day in May. Depending on how big they want to coaching/Analysis to be there maybe a role for Sone, but as you say, he has a season or two left in him and can't imagine he'll get offered something here.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 12:57 - Mar 10 with 1878 views | homer_123 | Depends on where we are. Keogh is done and will move into coaching. Aluko, if we are L1, might well stay.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 12:59 - Mar 10 with 1863 views | LankHenners | Keogh's surely at a stage where he realises he's at the end of his playing career and seems like he's fully embraced being part of the support team as it were rather than on the pitch that much. Notably been part of the warm-up helping Pert and Grant for a while so a fair chance I'd say he calls it a day at the end of the season and gets added to the off-field officially for next term. Aluko's said he still thinks he can play for a few more years and you can see that's probably true so imagine he'll find somewhere else to play.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 13:33 - Mar 10 with 1712 views | SheffordBlue | Might not hit Sone's desire to still play competitively but does one of them become the 'model professional' in the U21s squad. Still playing and training week-in-week out but as a role model for the next generation and not as a member of the 1st team squad. Think we've done this before and it's a role in quite a few other academies.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 13:40 - Mar 10 with 1651 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | I would want to keep Aluko as a player regardless of the division we are in. He regularly does it in the league when called upon, & showed his class against Championship opposition in the cup - extend if possible. I'll be happy to have Keogh stay as a coach if that happens, but only as a coach. Our defence has (hopefully) evolved past the point of needing him as a bod, but he will still have pearls of wisdom to offer I'm sure.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 13:49 - Mar 10 with 1601 views | clive_baker | I would've thought Keogh had half an eye on that when he joined. The chance to be closer to home and have a route into the coaching side in our set up is probably very attractive to him, and at 36 I wouldn't be surprised if he feels he's done all he wants to do on the playing side. I can see him going into management, he's such a popular figure. I would guess Alkuo will move on and pick up a 1 year deal somewhere else. If he can't get particularly close to our starting XI now then I don't think it's any more likely next season. He's a classy player but ultimately he's going to be judged on his numbers, and with the traffic ahead of him in the form of Broadhead, Chaplin, Edwards, Harness and soon John-Jules I don't think we'll see much more of him in a Town shirt.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 13:57 - Mar 10 with 1550 views | Nutkins_Return | Keogh will hang up boots and join coaching staff. Feel Aluko still has a lot to offer on playing side but don't think he'll be retained. We have: Harness, Broadhead, Chaplin, Edwards, Burns and Jackson all ahead of him. Humphreys also would be preferred where he operates. We have John Jules this season. Looking at the above would we even bring a loanee in next season in those areas?! If we go up a couple of above could move on with Aluko.

Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 15:53 - Mar 10 with 1108 views | BigCommon | Keogh, coaching role here or elsewhere, or player coach in a lower league. Not sure on Aluko. Still think he has a lot to offer in a squad role..Depends what division we are in and what he feels is best for himself.. Think both are highly regarded and respected experieced pros though. A lot depends on our Summer recruitment, which, again, is dictated by what division we are in, imo
Sone Aluko and Richard Keogh on 16:10 - Mar 10 with 1056 views | itfcsuth | Don't think either required in a playing capacity next year - but am sure they are highly appreciated by the staff/players for their experience. All depends on what they want to do, can actually see both continuing - Aluko could still operate at L1 level no problem.

I’m not sure I’d want to see him out there in a PO final… not after he gifted Zamora a goal in the PO final
