Best save you've seen from an ITFC goalkeeper? 09:39 - Mar 17 with 3636 viewsITFC_Forever

Trying to think.... the one that comes first to mind is Richard Wright at Wembley which kept the score at 3-2, Hristov (I think) headed towards goal at the far end and for all the world I thought it was in, until a clenched goalkeeping glove appeared from nowhere to knock it away.

In terms of overall goalkeeping performances, two more from Wright - Blackburn away in the FA Cup replay in 1996, and Arsenal away in around January / February 2001.

Just before half time, Wembley 2000, right in front of us. Had it gone in 1-2 down at half time.

I've seen a few, but nobody's mentioned more of a recent one - Christian Walton away at Wycombe, the 4-1 win under Paul Cook. Unbelievable reflexes. 3 minutes, 12 seconds into the highlight video

Was that the Stockport one? I think it may even have been Tony Dinning who took the penalty?

I was thinking of that one too, and Stockport was the name that came to mind

Jon Hallworth away to Brighton at their old Goldstone Ground , back in the 80s. Saved low down to his right, through a crowded pen area. Best ever? Prob not but has always stuck in my mind, one of those 'what a f#n save!' moment. Stevie Palmer just broke into team at that time, won every header he contested. Ahhh memories twtd

Sereni from an inadvertent Jim Magilton, last minute vs Villa in the relegation season. Extraordinary.

Second place Wright pen/rebound vs Stockport.

Yes, saved pen, got up to block rebound, superb!

Richard Wright. Forget who we were playing at home. Saved a penalty diving to his right then got up and saved the rebound. Incredible speed.

Kelvin Davis in the play offs at Upton Park from an Anton Ferdinand header.

I was right behind that and thought that's in as he headed it.

It was a bit like the Gordon banks save.

Richard Wright triple save vs Bristol City at Ashton Gate in 1999. We won 1-0.

Honourable mention to David Stockdale in a 4-1 defeat at Millwall in 2011. Caught out of position with the ball played across the area. Millwall player blasted the ball towards an empty net. Stockdale, running back across goal, stuck out a hand and deflected the ball onto the underside of the bar and away.

I was at the Bristol game, so +1 from me.
Didn't Naylor get the goal?

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.
