Fair question,he's the guy in the position, the team and more importantly the settled defence know him and his performances are consistently very high...he is reliable and has saved England many times.
Ramsdale is excellent and his time could/should come...we have had many false dawns with keepers over the decades who looked likely to take the spot but ended up not or just failing when they did.
The ONLY thing I can see dislodging Pickford is an injury combined with staying with a relegated Everton. | |

Pickford is fairly decent. Unfortunately he comes across as a complete knob.
I don't think he will lose the number one shirt until Southgate goes. |  |

Nope. Ramsdale does the spectacular but fails at the basics far more often. Even his main strength of distributing the ball is an attribute that Pickford shares anyway. Pickford’s always performed well for England too. |  |

Ramsdale is probably unlucky not to be, but Pickford has been pretty solid for England. I really like Pickford, he clearly cares and despite the stick he gets in the league, I feel he's reliable and would be my number one. |  |

Ramsdale is probably unlucky not to be, but Pickford has been pretty solid for England. I really like Pickford, he clearly cares and despite the stick he gets in the league, I feel he's reliable and would be my number one. |
I saw Pickford play for Everton at Southampton last season. He's worth the ticket price alone. The bloke is absolutely nuts from start to finish but as you say, he really cares. Never gives his defence a moment's peace. |  |

No doubt some top class saves today from Ramsdale, but I still feel he’s too frenetic at times and can be a little suspect. He’ll make the simplest save look harder than it should be. I appreciate Nick Pope isn’t as good as Pickford and Ramsdale with his feet, but I do feel he’s superior in many other aspects than both of those two. | |
