Looks like this odious scrote is about to have his collar felt once he returns to the UK. And the evidence below highlights that previously hanging these things in his pub while posting the comment

"“They used to hang them in Mississippi years ago.”

was not an isolated incident, or innocent of any intent to offend either.

I think we can tell what sort of person he is: Ignorant, thick and one to dabble in conspiracies

"In July last year he complained about the prospect of a Muslim prime minister, in an apparent mistaken reference to Rishi Sunak, who is a Hindu.

He said: “We now have the prospect of a Muslim PM, along with … other Muslim mayor’s throughout the UK. Don’t get me wrong, I choose to live in a Muslim country, here in Turkey. Did all the UK population agree to live under a Muslim regime? Muanmar Kadaffi said in 2008, we don’t need guns or bombs. We will simply out breed Europeans.”

Interestingly, your spelling is perhaps closer to the modern Irish spelling of the Middle Irish word it derives from.

The modern Irish spelling is tóraí, and the word means outlaw or robber, the latter perhaps apt in the light of the PPE fiasco.

Interesting to know if any shadow Cabinet members have called this out. Or are they keeping their heads down as they seem to be doing with regard to the racist nature of, say, the Tory plans to stop the boats?

One person who has consistently called the Tories out on racism and Islamophobia is Baroness Warsi but she has been largely side-lined.

Here is an excellent article.

Even more shocking that a Home Office source said this about the raid on the pub.

'The Home Secretary's views have now been made very plain to Essex Police so they're under no illusions.

'Police forces should not be getting involved in this kind of nonsense. It's about tackling anti-social behaviour, stopping violence against women and girls, attending burglaries and catching criminals — not seizing dolls.'

This is political interference to designed to discourage the investigation of racist incidents. With this indication of Braverman's position, perhaps police forces will be reluctant to investigate hate crimes and the like in the future.

Baroness Warsi has every right to hold Conservative views and at the same time be disgusted at racism within her party.

Or is that you telling another woman of colour what she should think Harold.

I think that’s known as doubling down, isn’t it? Absolutely disgusting attitude. I can’t wait until this lot are voted out and we get some adults in the govt (any party will do, as long as they’re not playing racism/xenophobia to their base and culture war mongers. Oh, and vaguely competent would be nice too).

rightie in making up stuff, shock

I don't recall my saying she didn't have that right. Just as I have the right to point out the hypocrisy of being a member of a racist party, and complaining about racism

And while you are here , any update on that customs union question you didn't appear to know ?

Sadly it looks like the culture/race wars have having an effect. A poll carried out by YouGov on Tuesday found that nearly half of British voters believe it is not racist to sell or display a gollyw*g doll, compared with only 27% who think it is.

https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/c6f0hvav1l/YouGov_DQResults_Golliwogs_April23_W.pdf

EDIT: Interestingly, 71% of Conservative voters, and 73% of Leave voters, think it is not racist, which might suggest that the Tories are connecting with their base.

"A former senior minister from Boris Johnson’s government told the Guardian they believed Braverman was a “real racist bigot”.

" she believes she has a licence to say these things because she’s not white. But all her language does is exacerbate hatred.”

And herein lies the major problems besetting the country, Incompetent nonentities in a continuous struggle for the leadership, whereby comments/policies are made to play to the small number of bigots, kids and non UK voters who will decide who is next King (Queen) bigot.

Meaning the stuff that is desperately needed, is not done lest it set off the 'wokey cokeys' in another round of mouth frothing hysteria.

It will take years to sort of this Tory mess

Should everyone ignore racism?

Is not what I said.
The police are literally already investigating. The more all of you talk about things like this, the higher profile racists and Britain First enjoy, the more morons they recruit. That’s what they want and people on here are giving it to them. The best thing to do is report to relevant authorities and then deny these people publicity. There’s a reason nobody hears from Milo anymore for eg.
BAPism is predicated on publicity and outrage.
