it is not what 'woke' actually is, as it can mean any thing - from the BBC to the Briwnies , from the National Health to the National Trust (Daily Mail).
It resents some hidden force conspiring against the believers. Once it was the devil (and all his works), Un-American activities, Eurasia, Farmer Jones.... even political correctness *.
This force is not only the reason for any personal failure, but it is behind the attempts to take things away from you. Be it jobs, your Britishness or even forcing different forms of sexuality upon you. Somehow an unfair advantage is being given to those different from you, at some supposed cost to you. It basically plays upon the fears of certain folk.
Truss is a clueless idiot. Anyone with half a brain would not be bleating abut 'growing the economy' as if it were some new idea. Nor would they be doing so when they have backed the very reason that has slowed down growth in the economy. Extra costs for exporters and the removal of the very workers needed just to keep production at the same level. Never mind growth.
However, by implementing Brexit economics she did at least demonstrate the lunacy behind Brexit - though I appreciate the huge loss it inflicted upon the county and individuals.

i really don't think Truss has a clue, or cares, what she says. A one time LIbdem, one time Remainer she appears to be happy to spout whatever is put in front of her, however idiotic, if it will move her up a notch or two.
