Schumacher gets L1 manager of the year 22:11 - Apr 23 with 2932 viewsunstableblue

Understandable

And he calls out what I’ve been saying all along… they’ve had a great director of football

And they kept their momentum and structure

Quite right too.

Though I can't recall if anyone else had got promoted despite losing 5-1 twice, 5-2 and 4-0 in the season, even if a couple of those results were in the cup.

Right decision. Wembley final and getting them up. No arguments with that. Fully deserved

I think the year Huddersfield went up to the Premier League they had so many hammerings they ended up with a negative goal difference, although they were promoted through the playoffs

Well deserved. Since September, we've been looking at them to slip away and they've just been relentless. Their home games are practically bankers and they always have responded well to defeats.

Doesn't seem that they've missed Ryan Lowe one bit.

Seems a bit tempting fate to be announcing it before the seasons end for my liking so quite glad KM didn't get it from that perspective.

Schumacher seems very tactically astute, the play a decent brand of football and are clearly masters of edging out those closer games

Something we weren't so good at earlier in the season and during that dip, we now seem to have upped the gears and look a very good side

Broadhead is very important to us though, I suspect it we went up, we'd bring in another number 10 who can take the strain off him and Chaplin, particularly in a division where the better sides will have bigger mobile centre backs who will bully them at times

In League One you often see some physical specimens but they are limited footballers, in the Championship, certainly the better ones are closer to Premiership level and able to hurt you more regularly

I think we play football that will be successful in the Championship but we will need a bit more quality to deal with it as well

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

As great as McKenna has been it would have been a crime if Schumacher did not win it.

Truly impaired.

Yeah, it's hard to argue with that. Well deserved.

Although it would be quite nice to play them at Portman Road now, with Broadhead and Hirst up to speed and Luongo and Morsy running things in midfield. Think another 5-1 would be on the cards.

He's done a great job - but if they fall down into 3rd he wouldn't and shouldn't win it - that's why awards now are silly
