We are bound to lose McKenna eventually and possibly sooner rather than later. It's the way it is. Any rising talent is usually pounced upon by one of the bigger boys in need of a new face,

There is always so much hype involved as well. We inevitably talk the man up but getting carried away is not confined to the supporters of Town. Hype plays a big part in the game and in decision-making these days. The fact that a young manger has managed to achieve promotion albeit from League 1, in his first full season excites the interest of the likes of Leicester and Celtic confirms this.

I personally do not envisage McKenna biting the cherry at this moment in time in his career from the point of view of his personal ambitions and those he wants to achieve at Portman Road. It is job half-done, he's still on the learning curve.

Should he manage to establish the club in the Championship and even threaten play-offs than he might consider the job complete and be amenable to offers from bigger fish offering more exposure and those mega-bucks.

Now if, by some minor miracle he achieves a double promotion then he could well be a Town fixture for much longer as lt will be back to job half done, and the rewards would be higher in any case.

I am neither concerned by the Foxes interest nor Celtic's. Premature all round.

Jitters, bringing up old posts to make people look silly is Dollers tactics.

Come on, you're better than that.

I considered the pros and cons and decided this one was very much deserved.

If the OP is actually a Town fan he will be as pleased as the rest of us anyway.

The OP is the perfect example of why media speculation & bookies odds should be ignored.

Just curious what people will find to blub about next

"Mckenna is definitely going I’m afraid…"

Think they managed to make themselves look silly in the moment by speaking in definites about something that was highly unlikely.

"Bubble will be well and truly burst"

And then crying about repercussions from an event that never happened.
