Good move for him, and I am big fan of English players moving abroad as I think it only helps improve the national team, but seems a little bit odd for Munich to my mind. Just feel they are more than a striker away from winning the Champions League, which surely is their aim so spending so much on one player with a year left on his contract is a risk. |  | | |

I think this childhood Arsenal fan is overstated, he played for them for a season and went to a title parade - there are dozens of photos of him in Spurs kits a s a kid but the only 2 Arsenal ones are those always shown - not that particularly matters
That article is full of rubbish though generally, says he was at Arsenal for 4 years, then released at 12, then back to club for 3 years then signed for Spurs at presumably 15....when reality is he joined them when he was 11/12 |  |

I don't see them making repeated bids in such a public manner if they didn't think he would sign nad risk having egg on their face - and also tipping the hand for any other potnetial transfer targets they have.
