So, Reading sold out again. 11:25 - Aug 24 with 8767 viewsSitfcB

That’s probably just over 2,000 tickets sold and potentially more to come.

Mental, thought we might’ve sold 500 or so.

But let’s see how many turn up

Hopefully all of them. If you're buying a ticket for the point and have no intention of going to the game you're a sh1thouse.

Do you need some numbers for tickets should more become available?

More on their way, don't worry. I think they have to allow us 15% of their capacity.

Reading obviously won't but can't imagine Town will be particularly happy about their system being abused in such a way.

I'm sure the clubs are happy to see the tickets sold, it's revenue. But I would think we would rather they're sold to people who are going to go along and support the team. Potentially also expose other fans to the club and maintain engagement among a wider fanbase. Away allocations being a closed shop to the same core of people through the season isn't going help that.

Thanks mate, seems the entire Wally family are up for this one, so 4 required if anyone fancies helping.

Yes I know I’m pushing my luck.

It will be a bigger issue if we go to a League away game and only have a half full away section. This will be a big disadvantage to the team.

The only other way to do this is to get your points stamped somehow at an away game.

That's unlikely to happen though. It's only happening here due to the cheap ticket prices.

I agree. I do think this could come round to backfire on us supporters if the club decide to go down a route of collection and ID at ticket offices etc because people are abusing the system.

I sometimes watch Brighton and I had this when I did Man City away last season - my name was on the ticket in black marker pen and I had to show ID when being searched. If the club want to enforce it, they can.

All this for 'the cheap point' though...

They'll have to do something if this carries on as it patently isn't fair if people miss out on a game they wanted to attend because of point hoarding.

Would be a massive pain for attending fans and an added complexity for the club to sort out all because of people's selfishness.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.
