Need to get rid of Moyes. Sums up what is wrong with so many football fans these days.

There were a couple on here.

Yes, there were a couple. Paraphrasing, one said that we need somebody who can get us out of L1 now, not some bloke with promise learning his trade here.

Somebody else basically said KM wasn’t up to it and we should get in Warnock before it was too late - a somewhat common plea from supporters when a team is struggling (or in our case drew a few and lost one in the fog). Even Sheffield Wednesday’s before the latest manager. I suspect even after he’s died, supporters of clubs in trouble will be calling for Warnock.

We have our percentage of impatient idiots like every club.

He’s been there for some years and as other players said would’ve been gone last season had it not been for the conference league cup run.

I think there is nothing wrong with West Ham fans wanting a change. A decent sized premier league club they could potentially get the right manger in and push on to be a top 6 team. There’s a lot of ifs and buts in there but that would be your aim as a West Ham fan. You wouldn’t be content with just staying up.

Moyesball is pretty dire but there’s no denying he’s done well for them. Mid table is about right for them. They have big crowds, but that’s because they got a taxpayer funded stadium which allowed them to offer cheap as f season tickets (due to not having to pay back 100s of millions). The gate receipts are actually less than Bournemouth per head and one of the lowest int he league.

I detest everything about West Ham. There are plenty of reasons (see Orient thread for just one of many).

Their dim witted arrogance, horrible kit, nonsense about winning the World Cup, academy of football, treating John Lyall like dirt, FA Cup luck 1975, nasty odiousness after the playoff games, sh£thole area, awful ugly supporters who get on their team’s back after 2 minutes, sense of entitlement, the bubbles dirge, east end, bad dentistry…..

That’ll do for starters.

Edit: And if you fancy eating something truly appalling, try traditional east end pie, mash and liquor.

European Cup, multiple European campaigns, 9th in the League - Moyes should be worshipped around that parish.

I suspect most sensible Hammers will appreciate the job Moyes has done for that club.

May well come to an end in the summer, Will Still to replace him.

One thing I will say for Moyes, he always looks fully committed to whoever he is managing. I think that sets him apart from McCarthy and Warnock, both of them are fierce in urging their teams on but can have urbane and relaxed moments at the side of the pitch too. I never notice that with Moyes during a game, in fact I would go so far as to say that if it is possible for a body to be haunted (it isn't but one can still look as we would imagine that to be) then the spooky lights over the foggy marshland look to be bouncing around inside his head.

Yeah it is dire and agree mid table is about right. But from an optimistic fans perspective they would be thinking they could do even better. I think that is where the moyes out feelings come from, as well as moyesball.

You've said it, and you are correct. I have no 'hate' for Norwich, they are our regional rivals and for that reason I always want us to be holding the bragging rights. That lot down the rail line however I have nothing but contempt for. That Essex TV show just put their awful culture in the spotlight. Range Rover driving, The krays were lovely boys really, 80's mock tudor living dopes who revel in scumbags getting shot down a country lane. John Lyall is the ONLY thing they have that I'll get on board with.

Agree with this. You’ve neatly summarised how I feel about NCFC and WHU.

18 months ago my mate’s dad died. We trudged to the funeral and his son’s wife’s family had turned up en masse. Loads of them. All from Dagenham. Well we were standing around as you do and the old man said to me and my two buddies ‘ooh do you suppawt then? We’re all West Aim’.

Leeds, Charlton and Ipswich Town was the response with a polite smile. ‘Wot d’yu support that rubbish for? They’re cr@p! You should follow a proper club like West Am’. ‘An e’s no better’ he said pointing a grubby thumb to my mate who was burying his dad that day. ‘Wots e follow Newcastle for?’’Bunch of t@ssers!’.

‘Paul was born in Newcastle and his mum and dad came from Newcastle’ my mate said. ‘Oh’.’but they ain’t a real club like west aim are they?’.

‘Well that’s his team’ was the curtailing response accompanied by tongue biting and frosty stares. We sidled off realising he and most of the other badly, dressed, over made up east end lumps and dregs were p£ssed and my buddy said just one word. W———rs.

They were living stereotypes. That’s West Aim.

There were people who wanted SBR out early in his reign, there were some who wanted Burley out after we lost in the playoffs and there were some who wanted KM out around Xmas.

Football has, and always will have some idiots - the modern age doesn’t have the monopoly on such idiots regardless of what some people who hark back to the seventies and eighties think. Social media, like 24/7 rolling news simply amplifies the views of the tiniest of minorities.

If we believe in McKenna enough to tolerate this season's failure in the belief that in the long term he is the best man for the job, we keep hold of him.

If we want to get up this season (considering any effects that not getting promoted may have on our squad, losing key players etc.), then he has to go and quickly.

There were others as well. It wasn't loads but there were a handful of numpties calling for him to go.
