Those stats don’t tell the whole story as the draws and a loss (iirc) were part of a blip. It is true that there were a few wipes ready to call for him to go, but more, myself included, that simply said that it was the first real test for him, and would show what he was made of. It needs to be borne in mind that the previous season had also ended a bit flat, so I think it was reasonable to ask a few questions. Thankfully he came through with flying colours. Well, more than flying colours really and look where we are. |  |
