Who should be the new sponsor of the west stand? 15:58 - Nov 15 with 11912 viewsghostofescobar

The Cheesemakers Association? Definitely not the musician/dj/producer Fred Again, or it could become the Fred West Stand.

Which will mean a nice big fat wedge of cash for new players in the Jan window.

Think the club would just prefer the money tbh. Afterall how many times have you seen the owners this season. One of which deleted his twitter account and hasn't been seen since....

Im not sure what sort of square peg your trying to put into a round hole here, but you do you Mr smarmy boo.

The State of Arizona must have a tourism department, they could get some publicity by a sponsorship and call it The Wild West Stand.

I am gonna stick with my first thought that it will be one of the Cruise companies based in Ipswich (MSC or Fred Olsen) they are both advertising heavily and have links to the club already. Failing that I guess one of the Tractor Manufacturers would be likely especially the one that is currently running adverts on TownTV

Hahaha!

Brett Johnson is involved in a Court case and has deactivated his Twitter so that he can't inadvertently tweet something which may have legal ramifications.

But I think you knew that, you sausage!

Dairylea.

They could leave one of those perfect triangles of cheese in that exciting little foil wrapper on each seat before the game. What a treat.

The only risk is a situation like the one I remember in the 80s. Harris Pork Pies were the sponsor and they threw mini pork pies into the crowd. You can guess the next bit. Crowd, fully armed with PPs, targets on the pitch …… who got pelted. I cried with laughter. To my knowledge the debacle was not repeated.

However, you can get a good distance with a mini pork pie. I’m not sure the range, due to the aerodynamics of the Dairylea and weight, would be more than front row to Lino.

Those triangles are more pointy than pork pies, so could take someone's eye out. Lethal things. Best left alone.. especially if you can have proper cheese instead.

Take somebody’s eye out? From what I saw on Saturday the Lino wasn’t equipped with those anyway! Nobody is going to leave proper cheese on a seat.

Firstly it’s going to be more robust than Dairylea for throwing so greater distance.

Secondly, Dairylea comes in Hygenic foil. Leaving a wedge of cheese on a seat is wrong. It’s also a waste of good cheese - unless it’s goat or sheep cheese or that rubbery tasteless Dutch stuff in which case who cares.

Given our US ownership, perhaps they can attract one of the Top 4 Beer Brands
in the US, Bud, Coors, Miller or Budweiser to sponsor the west stand?
Or the owners of the biggest selling beer in Arizona which is Dos Equis, a Mexican
beer....cheers

To be serious for a moment, are you really suggesting that the county of Adnams, Greene King, Tolly Cobbold, St. Peter's Brewery, Nethergate and many other wonderful small brewers like Grain and Earl Soham should have a football ground with a large stand with the name of dishwater such as Budweiser on it ?

If we take the mega bucks from say Budweiser, nice if we serve Suffolk
real ales...but they would insist on their own brews though.
Dishwater? l think once at room temp Budweiser tastes like cardboard...speaking
as a Camra member.
Pity local breweries haven't got deep enough pockets to sponsor a stand.
If we do end up with the Budweiser stand and take the $$$$$$$$$
we can always drink real ales at pubs nearby before and after the matches.
Our younger less discerning supporters will no doubt drink from the
Bud trough...
In a perfect world we would have SBR, ADNAMS,SAR and GREENE KING stands...
cheers
