I like it but the last bit doesn't feel right to me, wishing Norwich a merry Christmas seems odd. I think "Norwich are scum" would feel a better fit to the last line.

Na it’s lovely in the tone that it’s sung. The most sarcastic Merry Christmas you could ever say.

As well as that, it just doesn't in my opinion sound rousing enough for the derby. And whilst those who were there (like me) may now know the song because it was repeated several times, I am not sure the rest of the crowd at Portman Road will know it well enough to join in. And it strikes me its message may well be lost on the Norwich fans. But maybe I'm just a party pooper. [Post edited 13 Dec 2023 9:03]

Grinch. It was great. Keeping stuff going for more than 30 seconds has been very hard with our fanbase for years.

I think that the point is, the message behind it is (and it's a genuine heartfelt message now) that we're so relaxed about them that we can wish the b@stards a Merry Christmas with a smile on our faces. Bye-bye budgies, budgies bye-bye! (Pompey chimes or Bay City Rollers, who gives a fkuc!)

Precisely. Look forward to "We'll meet again" at Carrow Road.

In the same spirit and instead of the tired Delia songs, a rousing rendition of "Delia Smith is a football genius" on a loop to the "Dig a hole and effin bury him" tune would go well with the Norwich falling down and our new Xmas carol. BA - over to you to get this going.

Sounded really good, a song that just continues like that really helps atmosphere.. Better than the slow "Carrow Rd is falling down" imo anyway..

It was just about enough for an old duffer like me to pick up the words and be able to join in. Having now got the song in the heads of 2000+ away fans, who sit all around Portman Road, it should be easier to get it going on Saturday in a packed out ground. Good work BA, I loved it at the game last night.

I understand it, especially a few days before the derby. But it was all we sung from about 25 minutes to half time.

No, just more variety. Didn't hear 1 rendition of EEJB, despite trying. Got a good one going outside the ground post match though.

That’s how songs should be sung imo. A good 10/15 minute rendition of the same some is much better than racing though 8 different songs in that time instead.

I think there was one bit of EEJB but didn't go very far. The Morsy song just after hos goal was great but only lasted about 30 seconds. I'm more annoyed that only one bloke joined in when I tried to get 'Jingle Bells' going on the way out.
