Champions of england, you'll never sing that on 09:52 - Jan 25 with 2194 views | Zx1988 | We had a similar discussion after the game on Boxing Day. It's part of a chant in praise of their Thai owners and is, in fact, "Champions of England, you made us sing that". Nothing to see here. [Post edited 25 Jan 9:52]

Watch town in 5 though. It's definitely not. At least not for the moment the microphone picked up.

Lots of talk about this and 'how embarrassing fans can't tell the difference' etc. but have to say the L is with the Leicester fans for this - can't be having a song that sounds incredibly similar to another song that they did actually sing after winning the Prem. Not other people's fault if there's confusion.

Nonetheless a feat that very few English teams have achieved, and rightly Town should be proud of. Certainly more justifiable than West Ham fans claims after beating the 7th best team in Cyprus, and the 3rd best in Moldova…

- Sounded like "You'll never sing that" in stadium. - Hoping we would retort "Champions of England, We've already been that". Or immediately start up a loud 'allez allez allez' with emphasis on second line. - Yes a little rich us singing champions of europe for uefa, but not as rich as west ham singing about being champions of europe this year, winning the 3rd tier competition. - Finally, Leicester singing about living in the past, at the same time bragging about an EPL win that they couldnt be farther from repeating is the tastiest of delicious irony.

Champions of england, you'll never sing that on 10:04 - Jan 25 with 1992 views | _clive_baker_ | Definitely was 'you'll never sing that', certainly from most of them. Who actually cares though? Is it a real surprise that Leicester fans don't know we won the league 60+ years ago? Just like most Town fans wont know they did in 55 years time. We're as irrelevant to them as they are to us, their achievement just benefits from recency.

True, yet nowhere near as embarrassing as Leeds singing it.

Also a bit embarrassing after 33 years. Of course it’s part of our history and a very proud one at that but to use it as a modern chant..
Champions of england, you'll never sing that on 12:06 - Jan 25 with 1437 views | NBVJohn | Bit of a non event if you ask me. I was far more amused about two other responses to our (embarrassing IMO) singing about being Champions of Europe: 1. You weren’t even born (for the record I’m 56 and was actually there) 2. Just like Forest you live in the past, sung with no irony at all as they currently sit in the division below.

OK, The club should put a big sign up in full view of the away section saying FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1961/62 to make sure they do know. At least the ones that come to Portman Road anyway... [Post edited 25 Jan 12:37]

If you visit Portman Road, you will see as you approach the Cobbold Stand a large board that says Champions of England in 1961/62. I do agree with other posters though, 99% of football fans don't even know we were in the Premier League at one point, let alone Champions, they don't know we've played in Europe, or won the FA Cup, let alone won one of the big 3 European Cups, especially when it was significantly harder to do so and most people at Sky don't even acknowledge we have played in the Championship before, as we're little League One Ipswich, with a lucky, plucky team that will be relegated again next season...

I want it on the inside wall of whatever replaces the cobbold stand, like the Bobby Robson Stand letters.
