No new injuries, just those we were already aware of.

Had apology from officials from first two goals last week.

How many points do we get for an apology for the officials?

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

Presumably the officials apologised to PNE as well, for not giving an indirect free kick 6 yards out when Hladky handled a backpack?

*** yeah that should say backpass

They should apologise for allowing Hladky to have a backpack in the first place.

(a) - do we, and if so by how much (and the IF there is massive)
(b) - true, but if he wants to progress he'll have to move at some point
(c) - is it not easier to get that successful season at Palace than here?

We’ve a bigger ground with plans for redevelopment
That’s true
At the moment this season it is. If we’re talking about a move at the end of the season they’re not safe yet. Assuming they are in the PL next season, yes they’d have a seasoned PL squad.

The timing seems wrong for this rumour to be true. It’d make more sense to see where both clubs are at the end of the season imo.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Isn't he in the PL Select Group of referees too? 🥴

That's twice this season we've had him isn't it? And he's fked up both times. Rotherham away where he missed an obvious pen appeal and Saturday's debacle.

Something my dad mentioned when we had another useless ref against Sunderland, who was dropping down from the premiership, is that because of VAR, they're now almost reluctant to give a decision off their own back, as they know that it'll be checked by VAR anyway... It's ruining the game and taking the emphasis off them to make a decision in real time.. you'd really expect "prem" referees to be better than championship one's, but hey ho...

My question would be, 'what would he have to do at Palace to get the sort of kudos to get a top job?'

I'd argue getting us promoted and keeping us up is worth more than finishing top half with Palace? And I really do think that is their absolute ceiling. I am not saying I see us finishing higher than that anytime soon but I think he'd back himself to take us to a point where he gets a better 'middle step' to a top club, i.e Brighton/West Ham.

That ones already been explained as if he attempted to play the ball then he can handle it after. Very subjective though if his controlling and then losing the ball was part of him playing the ball.

I think KM (and e.g. Palace) would be concerned re the impact he could make going straight in mid-season. If he went there and got relegated he'd be under massive pressure straight away so it's often better (as Palace have a history of doing) in bringing in a temp.

He would interview incredibly well wouldn't he. That's my worry more generally.

That's my thinking as well, if they do firm up their interest, I'd be wary of going there if I were him in case they get dragged into the relegation battle. I know there is something in the interest and they may well move for him in the summer.

I'm not sure being the best Frimmers tribute act since Chris_Makin is a good look.

A competition in which even the winners are losers.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

He's never managed in the Premier League, why would they take such a risk when someone like Potter is available and done such a fantastic job at Brighton?
