Went to the old Den the year we won the FA Cup. One end had been allocated to Town fans. Started climbing the stairs when those at the top tuned and started to come back down. Turned out it was full of Millwall fans. We, that's my ex Brother-in-Law and myself found a spot to stand at the side. Fighting going on everywhere. Bricks being thrown. We left well before the end to go to the railway station. Can't recall the exact score when we left the ground but missed about 4 goals. Whilst I went through the really bad years of football hooliganism when the North Stand had fencing between rival fans I sincerely hope it never returns. Football is a great game to be enjoyed. Money in many respects has ruined football. Especially tv expecting fans to travel at stupid o-clock either to get to a ground or get home from a ground. | | | |
