Leitrim replied with baseless attacks ignoring the obviously targeted poster's entire posting history and you replied that they had a good point. He's been calling out Islamophobia for far longer than you have been posting here. At least under that username.

If it walks like a duck etc… on 12:12 - Feb 28 by leitrimblue | You would be happy for young children to be exposed to the C word? You don't find it in anyway offensive and would be happy for me to use it at you in person for example? I find that quite unlikely |
Yes, I have been called an Irish C-unit in real life, by Ipswich supporters no less. Not in a friendly way. But what troubled me most, was the logical fallacy of them addressing a fellow Ipswich fan in that way, especially when we had Matt Holland as a captain, when I was also clearly supporting Ipswich. See, it wasn’t the use of the C word that was troubling, it was the mental disconnect between supporting a team that had a history of Irish players, with an Irish captain, and them thinking that was a notable thing to use as a way to be derogatory to a fellow supporter. If they had called me an Irish nincompoop, I would have been equally perplexed. So you see, yes I would be quite relaxed about you calling me a C word, it has happened, I survived. But f**k me, what a couple of stupid c**ts they exposed themselves to be.

And just for the avoidance of doubt, I have mentioned that story before, a looong time ago on TWTD, it could be in the archives, so you can’t really file that under didn’t really happen.

So just to clear that up you did find the use of the C word quite offensive and clearly didn't enjoy it being used at you. And you are still happy and believe it to be a positive term to use around young children? We could book a hotel room and I can call you the C word all night if you like?

I tried to be clear, what was offensive wasn’t the use of the C word. Yep, I would rather children, if you are reading, to have emotional and logical intelligence, and be able to use all and any expletives when you decide to deploy them. Children differentiate between someone being c**t, because of behaviour that is of a c**tish variety, rather than simply using it to demonstrate your irrational dislike of a group e.g. that person is being a bit of a racist c**t vs that person is a rollerblading c**t. The latter says something about you.

Sorry, I thought you enjoyed the use of the C word so might enjoy a night of me saying it to you. We could get a hotel in Athlone, its right in the middle and easy for everyone to reach. Could be the start of a great relationship. I could bring the kids and you could swear at um then everyone will be happy

I’ve edited C&&t to Koont. You should have no problem with that. And in hindsight it is a far more appropriate abbreviation of the word.

Yea, relaxed about swearing. Straw man arguments, and logical fallacies, not so much.

If it walks like a duck etc… on 21:37 - Feb 27 by GlasgowBlue | Well said Iain Dale. You won't find a more true blue than Iain, but he's reached the point I did seven years ago. |
I listen to him when I'm off shopping - he's been wavering over a few aspects of Tory rule for a while now.
