| London marathon this weekend, a few questions..... 15:07 - Apr 17 with 5388 views | Bloots | .....firstly, is it too late to enter? Secondly, how much training do I need to do before Sunday? (I'm probably about a stone overweight but I can already do about 2km on the treadmill) Finally, what time will I need to finish in for around the top 20? Cheers. | |

If there’s a God of Symmetry, Portman Road car park would be a better bet for anything around London way.

Running outside on the concrete fcuks you up if you're not used to it. Stick to the treadmill and you'll be fine.

Just think of it as practice for when you are being chased. Bloots might catch you next time if you get too complacent. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Ha, I get that. Once you've got past that stage it does become a lot better. Proper play list on, change up the speeds and incline and it's manageable. The cross-trainer is the best IMO. Better for your knees & ankles IMO. [Post edited 18 Apr 2024 9:38]
