Cray Valley Paper Mills and Horsham were very happy with having their home replays this season.

They just don't get it. Wonder if they just had a vote amongst the big 6 and not any of the clubs who would actually be involved in these games.

In terms of getting through, yes but if not having a replay means missing out on a big away day for non-league teams, this could result in missing out on a pay day of a life time. The news is massively dissapointing for non league teams

Because it's about what th big teams want, and they don't give a damn about non-league. They only play lip service to it because of the threat of an independent adjudicator.

Replays are a big chance for the little teams to see a big team at their local. Top level football is really becoming crap isnt it? Promotion and 1/2 seasons of playing the big boys will be amazing but i have a feeling some fans may end up welcoming a return to championship if we arent pushing for european places...

If they go through though they get the prize money for that round and the opportunity of a draw at a big club in the next round. The 'glamour' replay doesn't happen particularly often whereas clubs going through to later rounds will probably happen fairly regularly now as they grind out a draw on win on pens. It will be interesting to see how it pans out of the next couple of years but I think it's likely more clubs will benefit financially from this than lose.

That's my point. The replays invariably result in the bigger team/club getting their sh*t together and winning comfortably. Yes, the non-league team may benefit from staging the replay, but they'll likely get much more money from winning the first game and getting a plum 3rd round tie a la Maidstone.

Additionally, there will be no Premier League games on the Friday night before the Final, to allow focus on the build-up to the showpiece event." So, they are not ruling our have fixtures the Sunday after the Saturday final.
