Goes without saying we all want McKenna to stay, he’s absolutely top class. He’ll go on to new things at some point regardless, but deferring that as long as possible is certainly favourable for us. Ultimately though there’s naff all anyone can do about it, so no point stressing.
If he leaves he does so with us in the premier league, he’ll have left us in a damn better state than he found us, and I’d wish him well and hope his replacement does the same. Ipswich Town football club is bigger than any individual, was here a long time before McKenna and will be here a long time after he’s gone.

He hasn't gone, other than on holiday. There's been no comment from him. No comment from ITFC. No comment from Brighton. No comment from Man Utd. No comment from Chelsea. The only comments have come from journalists who have seen there's a vacancy at various PL clubs and McKenna is the go-to name at the moment.
