Humble Pie and McKenna serious idiot if he moves 06:04 - May 23 with 2745 viewsturtle2

I for one shouted fro the rooftops there was no way he would move at this stage - for that I eat humble pie
The reason I said it is because he has the World at his feet an adoring fan base at Ipswich - already more money that he'll ever need and he;'d have to be a total idiot to move on -- or have serious doubts about his own ability and try to cash in on what he perceives as a bit of luck last year - anyone who was seriously good would honor at least another year and show how good they really are at the next level rather than hide behind huge budgets and big names. Been following football half a century - if he leaves it will be the biggest mistake ive ever seen a manager make - good riddance to him - he has SERIOUSLY gone down the toilet in my opinion

He's neither an idiot or has doubts about his own ability. If he goes he's used us as part of his plan to ascend the ladder. And we've benefited too. Disappointing, but maybe we need to be more dispassionate about it all. Except.... he hasn't gone yet and could just calmly state he's staying and looking forward to the season... and we all might be better of for it as we shouldn't get too attached.

The idiot is you (or you're a budgie troll).

What has he actually done wrong, at this moment in time? Or have you just got carried away by some tabloid rumours?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

This forum is so embarrassing.
Mckenna is an ambitious man who had his dream of a top level football career destroyed.

This is his career he wants to go to the top achieve a legacy in the game, if we're honest and take away the emotion, if he moves for any of the clubs he's linked with its upward progression for him.

He hadn't made the millions from a football career, he doing the best for him his family and his burning ambition.

We will still be here without him, and it won't be in league one.

Can't wait for him to go so this board can get over it.

Agree apart from the line "used us". All McKenna has done is a fantastic job. From L1 t the Prem in 2 seasons. Outstanding. He wouldn't have expected that possible even. It's not like this was his master plan all along. He ambitious yes and a top job would always be something he aspires to. Same as any manager.

Since he’s win b2b promotions all he’s done is pick up two highly coveted managerial awards and your reaction is, “good riddance”? A strange take on success.

I'm with you on the final paragraph, less because of TWTD posters and more so the club can actually plan properly for the next season. The longer this drags on, the worse it'll be in terms of preparation.

A real legacy in the game is moving a team up a bracket. If he established ITFC as a top 6 team, what an incredible legacy that would be and still leave him plenty of time to manage Utd., unless they find someone who they will keep for more than a couple of seasons.

Can we get these ridiculous posts removed as bring nothing to the table and are just flogging a dead horse and accusing McKenna of something that's not even going to happen as he is going nowhere.

The amount of people wetting their knickers all over social media is astounding.

I'm not bothered if he goes, he should have been sacked following the Maidstone disgrace. Not to mention the fact that we bottled the title.

I'd say ones like the OP here, and the number of them cumulatively, are actually bringing the board into disrepute.
