The La's There she goes again.
I liked the guitar intro to the song.
It was said to be about main-lining heroin but the band denied it.
This bit though made me think definitely, maybe.

I was going to say the same. I'm pretty sure Lee Mavers initially said it was about heroin but then backtracked a few years after. Great song, probably one of the best pure guitar pop songs of all time.
On a similar theme - Violator by Depeche Mode was released when I was a naive 15 year old. One of my favourite songs on the album was the last track 'Clean'. It was a good 4-5 years after it was released before I realised it was about coming off drugs and not a song about personal hygiene. [Post edited 11 Jun 2024 1:59]
