Liverpool home - looking for a ticket 12:28 - Jun 18 with 2890 viewsbluelagos

If anyone is away on holiday and looking for a home for their Season ticket - Mykyta (A lucky charm - he's the Ukrainian lad who Twtd funded a ST for in our L1 promotion season) is desperate for one.

Happy to pay appropriate price - he'll be forever grateful.
DM if you do. ta

How does this work? Do you agree a furtive meeting somewhere to hand over your season card andreturn it later? or is there some sort of process for it?

I'm assuming (but haven't read anywhere) that the ticket reselling platform is still going to be available next season?

When I've lent someone my ST I simply gave to them and they posted it back. Think you can also print off (and email) an individual ticket - or you defo could previously.

Anyhow - he asked and I said I'd try.

Assuming that they don't change the system from last season, you should be able to call the ticket office and ask for a PDF ticket. It's designed so that you can 'give' your season ticket to friends/family for free, but I can potentially see this avenue being shut down if it seems that too many people are using it for financial gain.

We were doing this (not for financial gain) - and after two occasions they said they wouldn't permit any more and that they were stopping this practice.

Not sure how that's developed or if it was a grumpy staff member, but one to be aware of.

Think we are lucky as a club in that professional touts are too late to get STs. Plenty of Premier League clubs have touts with STs to sell on (at inflated prices)

The number of inflated tickets on reselling sites is quite an eye opener.

How recently was that?

I did it a few times last season when I couldn't make the match, but I don't think any of them were after West Brom in February.

I can see that it might make sense to keep this particular avenue open, but having a limit on the number of times you can do it per season.

I must have upgraded my daughters ticket to an adults 10 times last season… or is that not the same thing?

Living and working in london, there's a few midweek games I couldn't make (Millwall, Rotherham, Bristol City & Unfortunately I missed Southampton) and the ticket office didn't have any problems with me requesting a PDF copy to send to a friend from Ipswich. Saying that, I presume we're going to have a lot more random Friday Night/Monday night games this year so they might change the policy

Given the number of Friday and Monday games - you'd hope the club will understand that some people will struggle more than ever.

I do like the sell back scheme but also think we should have the ability to pass on our tickets to friends/family.

Key thing is to keep the touts away. Fcking detest the cnts.

Not saying it's right, but the club will want you to use the reselling platform rather than transfer to family/friends.

More money for the club and less admin.

For me personally, someone who couldn't get a ticket, the reselling platform has to be used to make it a bit fairer......and of course if the demand is there, which I think it is.

I'm not sure even if it is that much more money for the club (if any at all, i'm not sure how it works) but if ST holders are just giving tickets to family/friends, you potentially get a person who hardly goes getting a ticket before a more loyal fan getting one.

Definitely more money for the club.

Club sell the seat for the full match ticket price and ST holder gets 1/19th of their season ticket refunded (less £1 admin fee)

Problem for anyone looking to buy is it's fastest finger first at 10am

Fastest finger first is the new world we live in and is very stressful. Just hoping to see a match in person this season and not holding much hope!

Oh ok. Well it's not a lot of money. DOubt they'll be 000's so I would doubt that is the main purpose of it.

I'd imagine it is to make it a bit more fairer........

We suddenly find ourselves in a position where every home game is going to be difficult to get tickets. I'm sure there's plenty of people in my situation, we've been going regularly to a decent number of games for years and years but life/work/family issues mean a season ticket is simply not going to be possible. I've been a season ticket holder in the past when circumstances were different and I'm likely to be one again in the future. There was no problem getting tickets as a member in League One, even the Exeter promotion game. I don't know what the system will be but there's a chance I might not be able to get to a home game next season.

How is it any 'fairer'? If the club give me a pdf I gift mine to a young lad that is a real fan, through the shlt as a boy, now can't afford tickets.

well that's fine. But for every one of you, there's a person who gives it to their mate who goes once every blue moon.

If there is different "levels" to buying tickets, then it is fairer to give it to someone who went to say 10 mgames last season compared to someone who borrowed someones ST for a couple of games.
