Also (from a souse mate) - try Southport for cheaper options - is on Merseyrail so you can train in/out on the day - enjoy a night out - lot cheaper than city centre.
Wait 3 months and they'll all be gone for sure.

Not really related, but i was in a pub in central Liverpool on a Saturday a few years ago, and a bloke came in and ordered a pint. When he was told the price he said (not complaining, more curious) ' wasn't it a quid cheaper yesterday? 'Yes' was the reply, we always put the price up at the weekend, because that's when the football tourists come in.' I’ve had a deep hate of them since I was a kid. At school my teacher was a scouser, banged on about the place 24/7, about how lovely they all were… turns out he was an absolute wrong’un… added to that a load of boys at school also supported them, with big ITFC vs LFC lunch time games.

Oh, I get it. Everyone supported Liverpool when I was a kid but then it switched to United and my dislike largely then moved to United too but now United have been sh!te for so long I can't even bring myself to dislike them. Chelsea are a plastic club built on dodgy money so they're probably the Prem team I dislike the most but even then I'm not that bothered. We've been out of the top flight too long to have any genuine rivalries in the Prem, hopefully that'll change. | |

Away allocation is minimum of 10%. Can't imagine we'll have as many as 10k fans wanting to go so it'll be tough to get a ticket but away allocations generally are going to be much bigger than we're used to. | |

Minimum of the lower of 10% or 3k. As a result, pretty much every away end is 3k - so not the big away ends that some seem to be anticipating. | |
