Hopefully his family are all ok.

Poll: Nine or Nein? - Will Town sign a striker today?

...I hope there is nothing serious going on in his personal life, this might be the "break" that Slothgate needs.

Potentially gives him the opportunity to mix the attackers up a bit and not lose any face over it.

Might be a classic case of stumbling over a formation change that works.

Maybe.

Or he'll just stick another holding midfielder in, who knows.

If he's back on Sunday surely means he's out for the Belgium / Netherlands / Romania etc game, as he won't have trained?

Possible this could mean England luck into a formation that works, but maybe that's wishful thinking!

Foden is our best No10, and even out of position was the only starter making things happen last night.

To be fair, if you are earning £300k per week, you are in a great position to start a family at a young age.

It didn't say he's back ON Sunday.

It said he will be back BY Sunday. I'd imagine he'll be back on Friday.

In fairness to him we don't know if this is a premature birth or if his partner has developed unexpected complications. Hopefully not.

BTW, I thought he was one of our better players last night.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

If it’s their third, Southgate would have been better sending Pickford. Or better still Ben Foakes.

Happened to SBR in Mexico 86 when Bryan Robson dislocated his shoulder and Butch Wilkins got sent off.

We came alive after that.
