Cant ignore his quality and achievements. But for whatever reason, he has been abysmal this tournament. If your striker doesnt offer in behind, doesnt challenge for headers, doesnt press and is lethargic when he comes deep, he is hamstringing the entire team. | | | |

Your could see him asking Pickford and other players for the ball. Pickfords long balls at the end went out of play or were too short . 60 and 30 min are the on the pitch time scale for a pressing forward. We only had Watkins, Toney and Kane are not the players for the high press. |  | | |

I’m a Southgate supporter, but to hear him say that Kane had lacked matches coming into the tournament and they hoped game time would help him is …. well, troubling! It was pretty obvious after the first two games that he wasn’t at the races. One of the other forwards should have been given a start. Very disappointed in him and makes it difficult for people like me to defend him. | |
