Yes please, particularly on a permanent. Having that chaotic element off the bench could be even more useful in the prem than it was in the championship

He wasn't much of a regular last season. While he was an effective impact sub, I think we need to be looking at players who can improve our starting XI or put pressure on the incumbents.

I think he was used as an impact sub because that is McKennas modus operandi. Being a sub under McKenna arguably means that he values you more as a game winner than a starter.

Hutchinson only ended up starting games because we had an injury crisis, Kieron liked to have both Hutch and Sarmiento on the bench as a kill switch.

The chaos and unpredictability he brings is something we don't have (omari can dribble but he's less mad), and it would be useful. And i loved his work rate. Yes please.

If we don't get smodzics after missing out on philogene, i have a feeling this might happen. Saying that, smodzics isn't the same sort of player at all and we could end up with both.

Good player. Age 22 lots to come from him. Great character too. A definite yes from me.

Thing is, we cannot go in to the premier league with a left side of Sarmiento and Broadhead. I think that would be way below level and the fact we bid 15 mil ish for Philogene shows we are probably gonna go big in that position.

So that would leave you

Left 10
New Player
Broadhead

Central
Omari
Chaplin

Right wing
Burns
Omari
Delap?

I just dont see where Sarmiento will come in and get loads of minutes, especially as he wasn't really a starter last season, I suspect he will want to be starting games every week and I can't see that here. Love the bloke mind.

Why would you suffocate him on the left?

I would tell him to go wherever he chooses.

Now look here Sarmeiento, go where you feel you can create the most damage and jolly well get on with it.

Peoples dismissal of JM is genuinely mind boggling.

His tracking back and tackling was a bit chaotic early on but he became very effective from a defensive point of view just like Hutchinson. In some of the games towards the end that was very valuable, quite apart from his attacking ability.

Might be good enough one day, but with only 2 loans permitted from other Prem clubs, we can't afford to babysit maybes.

He didn't show the discipline or desire that we need.

What do you mean by a lack of discipline and desire?

He got better and better as the season went on. Was exceptional away at Coventry when he came on, absolutely electric. People should remember he was 6 months behind Hutchinson in terms of time spent on the training ground with McKenna. And look at the improvement in Hutchinson from the beginning to the end of the season!

Good player, lots of potential, right attitude.

The downside for me (apart from potential cost for still quite a raw young footballer) is that he no longer counts as an Under21 for the purposes of registered squad size. So he'd take up a slot in the 25, while still being a developing player.

Hutchinson, in contrast, still falls within that bracket.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
