This is JustGiving, which I thought was better but the fact it says "The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised." does seem to be a similar situation. Maybe they've branched out to this now go fund me pages are happening. If you're happy to just give money with no guarantee it will be spent on this cause, then feel free to donate.
