For a Third Time? on 07:14 - Jul 30 by SitfcB | IF, if, it were too happen I don’t think I could be upset at it. |
If it were to happen now (not that I think it will), I would be very annoyed. Having beaten away approaches from Prem rivals, to lose McKenna this close to the start of the season would be a disaster. For me, this is more a case of "hot-shot young manager's name being linked with every decent job going".

For a Third Time? on 08:46 - Jul 30 by blueasfook | I find him entertaining. Maybe the cynic in me loves an Elephant take on things! |
Yes. While I disagree with Elephant's take on things at ITFC, his constant negative comparisons with an idealised version* of the era when a family of regional brewers and landowners could run a football club at the highest level, with players often developed rather than bought, I can also see the attraction of that rosy-tinted viewpoint. I think a lot of us would like still to be challenging for First Division titles and winning FA Cups, starring players like Beattie and Wark who came to the club in their teens, rather than worrying about FFP/S&P and whether we need to spend £100m+ just to survive in the Prem. * IMO overly so.

For a Third Time? on 06:13 - Jul 30 by ElephantintheRoom | Relax - McKenna applies for every available job because he gets £5million stuffed in his back pocket when he does it. It’s a strange compulsion - but it pays well. |
I still chuckle in disbelief at how upset some fans get when a talented and successful manager, with no ties to the club before a couple of years ago, dares to listen to offers from other potential employers!

Wait, what? Explain more.

Just wondering, what pleasure do you actually get from your posts? What a miserable way to live.

For a Third Time? on 06:58 - Jul 30 by NthQldITFC | Your posts are a big net loss to human happiness. You piss people off. I can't imagine that you get enough strange happiness from doing that to result in anything other than a big net loss. Nasty little troll. |
He's been very quiet on The Star comments section of late, moved back here for a while after searching all day for a post that tickles his fancy to join in! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
