I've never wished violence on anyone, but I do wonder how much less of a state we'd be in if he's not survived that plane crash. Ironically, it was the UKIP banner that caused the crash and ultimately a lack of responsibility that caused the pilot to kill himself (after he'd used his expertise to save Farage's life). That's peak Farage - others always suffer for his publicity stunts.
I do think people claiming that they are the Farage riots and blaming him totally is a little far. But he’s certainly fanned the flames in all of this and used a message rather than outright calling for riots.
It’s a sad old world we are living in atm.

He isn't the only right wing agitator who doesn't want to own the issue, they have helped cause
I've seen apologists trying to blame it on the 'leftists' and Starmer, which is totally bonkers
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Whenever I've seen all these mealy-mouthed cowards from Yaxley-Lennon, through Farage all the way the Mail and the Express try to go 'it weren't us guv' all I can think of is this:

It's been years, decades in the making. Without a shadow of a doubt, the vast majority of people get their views on immigration from the media, public figures and commentators on social media. Farage is one of those figures who's been given the largest platform. He is undoubtedly someone who's been fanning the flames and therefore bears responsibility for what's been unleashed. The people in our recent governments did too (describing them a an "invasion" or "swarm", Johnson with is rancid racist telegraph columns, etc.).
Some people get their views of immigrants from daily contact with them of course. And those are the areas where people are most tolerant of immigration, because they actually know what immigrants are like and realise most are just like us. It the areas with least immigration (e.g Clacton) that are most vulnerable to the media and politicians' lies about immigrants.
It's a very sad world. If we can't stop the press and politicians from lying about it, the only anecdote is education imo.
He's also blaming that Tate bloke for the rumours of it being a Muslim who killed the children in Southport, that he was 'just asking questions' about. Honour among thieves, eh?

Akala called all this out over a decade ago. Focussing on the few bogeymen (Farage, Robinson, Hopkins) and not the societal issues driven by mass media and governments does nothing, in the grand scheme of things, to combat violent racism
