It probably did to be fair.

He must have made a mint, got a fair bit of experience and still has a career it seems.

Yep, the higher the level the more levels you have to go down.

Same with Charlie Brown.

You reckon? Don’t know if we were able to include anything? Wasn’t the fee set by a tribunal??

And according to Wikipedia it is the highest non-professional league in Spain.

I wonder if he has gone there for lifestyle, as opposed to footballing, reasons.

On the other hand, maybe he thinks the Spanish way of playing suits or will improve his game, and hopes to step up a level there at some stage.

Sorry, I meant to say semi-professional but that is not to say there are not larger teams which remain professional in order to get out of it quickly.

Whether Real Murcia falls into that category, I don't know, but they have been at this level or lower since 2014-15.

Of the teams currently in it (and ignoring B teams), the only one I have heard of is Hercules, who have on occasions reached as high at La Liga.

Yes theres lots of smaller clubs that I haven't really heard of( lived here for 7 years!) Deportivo de la Coruna were promoted last season too.
Seems like a strange move, you would've thought a club in the UK would want him, maybe he likes the sun!

Had to reply as a Town fan by birth and Stockport County fan by adoption (I have lived in Stockport for nearly 40 years) . Knight was on County's books for the second half of last season, but didn't play as he got injured immediately. Indicates the level he had reached maybe though - that City thought he should go to League 2 as a loanee.

Your mention of Malaga prompts me to mention a unique treble I had last season. We have a small place in Mijas and so we follow los Boquerones (as they are called) - my daughter's been to a couple of games at the Roselada.

So its three teams in our household - Town number one (obviously), County and Malaga. And last season County went up from (in effect) division 4 to division 3, Malaga went up from 3 to 2, and Town from 2 to 1. County were champions, Town runners up , and Malaga?

Via the play offs of course. That's got to be a unique set.

If Louie Barry moves to Malaga at some point then you may get to have seen him play for all 3 of your clubs!
Quite a nice goal he got this weekend…
