I know the club have said that as part of their anti touting policy, they will do ID checks at the ground, and select some people to have to retrieve their tickets at the ground. Has anyone ever seen this in practice?
I'm just intrigued, as I've already spoken to multiple friends in Manchester, who have miraculously got tickets for the City game through friends/family etc. So essentially seeing in practice what we all knew would happen with the priority system.... i.e. those with priority cementing their advantage by always buying a ticket, even if they don't want it, and then moving it on. |  |

Hopefully they are doing it, although I’m surprised nobody has mentioned it happening.

Saw a bloke tweeting about wanting his postage back as he had to pick up tickets at the ground instead last season. Can’t recall the game, but the club sent him a letter.
Mate used to work on the home end at city, helping direct people to the right turnstile etc. can’t remember what the procedure was when someone had a fake ticket etc but he said it was really common for foreigners. They’d turn up barely speak English and have a ticket from a seller that didn’t work.
No idea how hot they are on the away end though. |  |

You get informed not long after you’ve purchased your tickets if you’re up for an ID check and ticket collection, they only usually do a handful a game, pointless really? |  |

Those people now no longer need to advertise availability, they can seek ‘offers’ from previous buyers. |  |

Touting is huge in the Prem. Companies with 5* reviews on TrustPilot do it. It’s a part of being in the Prem unfortunately. No chance will be any checks I’m afraid. | | | |
