Jenas is one of the worst. No way are they as bad as Goodman and Hinchcliffe. They were almost cheering opposition goals.....haha

Could have been 5 on 18:05 - Aug 17 by You_Bloo_Right | By that analysis though we could have had 3 first half and 1 second half. And you say they could have had 5 2nd half alone but they couldn't have had any first half - not a shot on target. |
Let’s be honest though it couldn’t have been 3 to us first half. We had one half decent chance the others were shots from outside the box.

Could have been 5 on 16:51 - Aug 17 by bluejacko | Really! It wasn’t neutral though was it? It came across the same as last year, who are we to dare to be were we are! |
I think honestly we get oversensitive and take that view more than is true. Liverpool were very very good that second half and they could have had a few more clearly however for the most part it was good defending and goalkeeping that kept it down. It's not really a criticism. And yes we could have had 1-2 as well. It was a really good open game to be honest and we were really brave. Some of the pundits do swoon over Liverpool, City players etc but they are pretty exceptional to watch in full gear. (Sutton on the other hand.....) Haha.

Though we could have scored a couple ourselves.

Could have been 5 on 14:38 - Aug 17 by OldFart71 | Tad surprised Woolfenden picked, but is Burgess quick enough. May have to look at further reinforcements although we won't be playing Liverstool every game. |
I thought Woolf did very well. Massive game for a local lad - acquitted himself well against the best players he’s ever faced. What did he not do well?

Ours we're barely half chances, they missed 3 sitters.

Could have been 5 on 09:11 - Aug 18 with 613 views | tractorboy1978 | It could have been to be fair. Although I thought 2-0 was probably a pretty fair reflection of the game overall. I thought the game ran away from us a bit for 20 minutes of that second half - understandable against the quality of the opposition and the physical/mental energy we had put into the first half. Heard McKenna say after the game something along the lines of "need to manage the game a bit better". That's what we did last season really well against Leicester after going 1-0 down in both games. We consolidated and gave ourselves the chance to have a proper go at the them for the last 10 minutes.

Though I think part of that was down to Leicester looking to protect their lead, so they gave us time to regroup, take a breather and not go further behind. In comparison, Liverpool went for the kill.

Could have been 5 on 15:53 - Aug 17 by Nutkins_Return | It could have been. They were cutting through us But we defended it well last ditch. Do we always have to have a hissy fit at neutral commentators not having our natural bias? Good performance overall but we were right up against it that second half against an excellent Liverpool team. |
we werent 5 goals up against it, 2 was fair for the game as a whole,3 if we were being generous (born out by the Opta stats), the other "non chances" were all good saves by Walton, or blocked out by defenders as youd expect. just look at the stats, they only had 5 shots on target the whole game, 0 in the first half, how does that convert to could have been 5 goals.. 10 corners, not one of them remotely caused a problem. Town had better shot accuracy than them. its lazy punditry that always favours the "big" clubs because none of their fans are ever going to call them out for it, or the fact they dont do their homework properly.
