Leif had a great game. He marked the only real Fulham threat and still attacked and played some excellent football. Re-watch Delap goal. Leif build up play was exceptional.

He did have a good game, but was lost for the goal.

Just seen the highlights and I retract my statement that Muric should have done better. His view was completely obscured by Davis.

Nothing. It was lightening fast.
Bloody Davis again 1-1 on 20:55 - Aug 31 with 1404 views | You_Bloo_Right | Could someone explain to me how a ball from the far side of the field gets to a Fulham player on the near side of the pitch and yet the goal scored from that is the fault of the near side defender? For me the cross should not come in (far side players should block) or, if the cross does come in, central defenders should cut it out before it gets to the near post. But you carry on with "Bloody Davis again", I'm sure it will be true sometime.

I thought Axel could have done more to stop the cross but on the highlights I don’t think so, Leif didn’t scan over his shoulder once from when he started to track back from halfway in our half he didn’t have a clue Traore was there.

Possibly annoyed at the finger pointing that some are so quick to jump on Try considering that maybe its called a team game because it's a team game! McKenna picked and trained them Kalvin , Delap and Omari all had chances to close down the ball earlier in the sequence Obene left Axel with an overlap Axel failed to prevent cross Woolfie missed clearing it Morsy is marking no one Greaves missed the attempted hack clearance Muric failed to save a bullet shot that was well beyond him But hey its Lief's fault even though it was a fairly slick move played at pace.

Think the real fault at the end of the day was the run for the overlap which left Axel exposed as he was covering two. Frankly it was a very slick move played at pace, It was a shame we didn't manufacturer a well-deserved winner. I am very proud of all of the team's performance and believe we will only get better. I was so impressed with Delap though.

Needhamchris Good name. Do you attend games of football? Before you ask this isn’t a point scoring thing from those who attend.

Correct. Ideally Ogbene tracks the overlapper.

Bloody Davis again 1-1 on 15:47 - Aug 31 by Clutch | Phillips is really outshining Morsy today, but not sure if that's just because Morsy has had no impact at all. |
Really I think Morsy has been superb again Fulham had a spell where their midfield were on top but it's going to happen. The new players will hopefully get better as the gel into the system. As for Davis it's learning curve overall done OK against one of the quickest wingers in the Premiership.

Bloody Davis again 1-1 on 15:53 - Aug 31 by FrimleyBlue | Ogdene looks like he'll be quick but dont see much skill there so I'd like to see more balls over the top for him. |
That's what luton fans say but good outlet when under the cosh works hard as well and he will improve in a group of better players.
Bloody Davis again 1-1 on 09:04 - Sep 1 with 1024 views | Bramidan | First 3 games he’s faced Sala and then that Man City winger ( can’t remember his name) who looked electric. Yesterday Treore who is fast and an absolute beast. I know it’s the premier league and every opposition player is by definition pretty good but come on give Davies a break!

Bloody Davis again 1-1 on 15:51 - Aug 31 by greyhound | I think today in general the new signings are proving their worth. I didn't understand ogbene as a signing but he looks very good, Phillips has a telling amount of experience at this level, and delap and szmodics are doing very well. Hutchinson already thriving at this level. Greaves I don't think there's any necessity for a jury on, we have a future multi million pound profit if we sold him tomorrow. |
I thought that for someone who doesn't look very big, Ogbene [EDIT: just re-read and realised I hadn't made it clear that was who I was referring to!] is strong as well as quick. The ball in from Phillips for his header that their keeper made a good save from was very good too. Phillips and Morsy will make a great midfield partnership in time. [Post edited 1 Sep 2024 14:04]
