My favourite moment of the day. 18:38 - Aug 31 with 9326 views | FromReuserWithLove | When Phillips went off and got his standing ovation. He was clearly quite taken back by it all and applauded back, then threw his hands up asking for louder and more. Thought it was lovely. The power of positive support. [Post edited 31 Aug 2024 19:57]

My favourite moment of the day. on 19:32 - Aug 31 with 7038 views | CopfordBlue | He’s an excellent footballer and comes across as a really decent bloke too. We’re going to be good for him and he will be good for us. No disgrace in not establishing himself as a first team regular at Man City. West Ham was not the right move for him - a negative manager coming to the end of his time at the club, fans with unrealistic expectations and no patience, trying to live up to what Rice had done the season before etc. This will be the move that resurrects his career.

My favourite moment of the day. on 19:34 - Aug 31 with 7007 views | bluelagos | I think he could prove a very important signing. Still off his best (from not playing) yet he did so well today, doing simple things brilliantly - a foot in here - a short pass there. I think he will only get better too. Brilliant loan by the look of it.

My favourite moment of the day. on 19:41 - Aug 31 with 6925 views | Swansea_Blue | Was he good? I didn’t/couldn’t watch (I’ve still not worked out how to watch lol) and the missus wanted the Swans on the radio. Who are sh*t and suffering from crap owner syndrome like we had under Evans, but I digress.

He was good. He didn’t stand out as exceptional but was solid and got better as the game went on. There were some moments and touches that gave a glimpse of the player he is at his best.

He played well. To be honest they all did - real energy, effort, poor Symodics looked absolutely knackered when he was subbed. The high intensity football is such a joy to watch, especially when you've sat through seasons of at times, utter dirge.

My favourite moment of the day. on 19:46 - Aug 31 with 6847 views | Cafe_Newman | Yep, great moment that. My favourite moment (apart from Delap's goal) also involved Phillips. A couple of Fulham plays were chatting just prior to a set piece and KP went up to them to listen in. He seems to be really enjoying his football here. Long may it continue.
My favourite moment of the day. on 19:52 - Aug 31 with 6754 views | Swansea_Blue | Thanks both. Must admit, I was pretty excited by us signing Phillips, but wasn’t sure if he was the same player as he once was. Sounds positive. I’ll watch the match back when it’s up on TownTV, but do need to find a way of watching live.

Phillips is the one known name of the summer that really made the statement, we have a manager and chairman that can get name players. Felt a bit like the Marcus Stewart statement signing. It may be a loan I hope it leads to long term.

Think of Morsy mixed with louongo = Phillips

My favourite moment of the day. on 21:03 - Aug 31 with 6073 views | Swailsey | That was great. My favourite was the Fulham player throwing himself to the floor and Szmodics standing directly over him just looking at him, half smiling. Then gentle kicking the ball at him until he stood up.

I thought he was just ok in the 1st half, but the 2nd half he played very well, moved the ball quicker and more forward rather than being a little safe.

Prime example of phillips being a Pepe player becoming a KM player :)

We said exactly that, grew into the game and got better and better, and therefore started to influence it well.

My favourite moment of the day. on 23:50 - Aug 31 with 4890 views | SitfcB | I doubt he has felt that sort of support since being at Leeds. He’s a heck of a player and has had a tough couple of years, deserves to be shown some love.

This! A top quality player who got a bit lost in recent times. Along with Pep conditioning players into his system which is fine if you keep winning leagues/cups etc. We all know that Southgate bemoaned not having KP in the England squad in the Euros. KP is the biggest signing ITFC have made in many many years, great to hear that FPR were super supportive of him. That makes such a difference for players, we have a star of any EPL team we just need to build him back up and let him run riot in the league. Could be the Barkley signing of the year and if we stay up..... I won't go there just yet.
My favourite moment of the day. on 00:07 - Sep 1 with 4727 views | PioneerBlue | Love him already, in fact really liked him for a long while as part of the England group that really connected. I hope we can get him enjoying football again, he will be big for us. Such experience for us in this stage of our PL return.

I d agree, took him 30 odd minutes to find a bit of rhythm but I loved the way he was constantly demanding the ball, a great sign that his confidence is already coming back. Allowed morsy to play just that 5-10 yards further forward as well which meant morsy could have more of an influence driving forward in more dangerous areas. One superb slide ball through that won us a free kick on the edge of the box - perfectly weighted. Encouraging signs
