Quick visit to Fulham forum 08:28 - Sep 1 with 6807 views | BlueNomad | Not very complementary, in summary: It was only a draw because Muniz was poor They couldn’t even beat a team who lost to Wimbledon We have poor defenders and are generally not very good We are dirty, Delap in particular

Sort of understandable really. I think as an outsider you probably see a team that’s got back to back promotions from league 1, had their arses handed to them in the opening 2 games and lost to Wimbledon in the cup. I dare say they see a lineup of formerly championship players, even most of the ones we’ve signed and think they have a right to beat us as an established premier league team. Unless you scratch beneath the surface a little bit you’re probably going to put us in a bracket with Luton and Burnley. That might yet prove to be the case, who knows, but I think we might fare a little better than that as the additions bed in. It might look a better result for them in 6 months than it does today.

Yes of ofcourse we do...but other teams reading will be lured into a false sense of security. Let's keep under the radar for as long as we can.

Exactly that, we don’t want to be respected too much. Let them all think we’re crap, Leeds fans said we were crap most of last season, waiting for our drop off | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Quick visit to Fulham forum on 09:56 - Sep 1 with 4791 views | Linners | I was in the Upper SAR yesterday and you could occasionally hear them grumbling. Basically they'd put this down as a W hadn't they and it didn't quite go to plan. We're going to hear this a lot from all teams we get points off this year...normal enough. Oh, and who'd be a Fulham fan? Utterly pointless.

Quick visit to Fulham forum on 10:33 - Sep 1 with 4507 views | southnorfolkblue | I spoke to a mate of mine who goes to Fulham home and away and his take was far more generous. Well Coached Spent money well Need more fluidity in the final third which will come with time. Will comfortably stay up based on that performance

Quick visit to Fulham forum on 10:42 - Sep 1 with 4380 views | MK1 | Got to be honest, thought Fulham would be better than they were and think they will be once their new signings bed in. Much the same with us. Once our lads have had a couple of decent weeks on the training ground, I think we will surprise a fair majority of people. Our options right across the pitch are very, very good. Think the established middle order think they will have the beating of us and I'm more than happy for them to continue with that thought. Yesterday showed, that as we get players fit and playing, then we will be a match for most in this league. Under estimate Kieran McKenna at your peril.

Quick visit to Fulham forum on 10:43 - Sep 1 with 4363 views | FromReuserWithLove | i saw a thread telling their fans to relax as sometimes small clubs beat big clubs, suggesting they are the latter. Lolz. I guess to a whole generation we are just a middling Championship/League One club. Up to us to change that. This is why recruitment must've been a challenge. [Post edited 1 Sep 2024 11:00]

His main criticism was Szmodics' "penchant for throwing himself to the deck." I can't say that I recall any such behaviour. [Post edited 1 Sep 2024 10:49]

Quick visit to Fulham forum on 11:15 - Sep 1 with 4045 views | TractorWood | Was a pretty even game. We played some great stuff but didn't create an outrageous amount of chances. Muniz did nothing. Thought Iwobi was great but surprised he didn't venture forward a bit more. He did in the last 10 minutes and they looked more likely when he did. Troare looked immense one minute and utterly useless others. I can tell why they are frustrated by him.

There was one time when he was running towards the cobbold but it’s just street wise play. Was heading nowhere towards the touchline, waited for any sort of contact and bought the free kick.

Yeah, no idea what the OP is on about most the Fulham chat I've seen is that they were happy/lucky to come away with a draw.
