Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? 17:33 - Sep 4 with 4967 views | GeoffSentence | WifeSentence sold a car to them this afternoon and they kept hold of the entire log book, which seems unusual to me. Is this normal for them and do they sort out informing DVLA efficiently?

Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? on 18:13 - Sep 4 with 4674 views | Oldsmoker | I part-exchanged my Cavalier Sri130 for a Beamer. The car dealer, who looked uncannily like Arthur Daley, didn't notify DVLA so DVLA said I was still the owner. Some months later Bristol police sent me a letter telling me the car had been seized and was in their car pound. I told them it wasn't mine. Manchester filth sent me a letter some months later asking me if I was the driver doing 110mph on the M6. I said no but if they'd like to contact Bristol police they might know something. It all went quiet after that. Left hand don't know what the right hand is doing.

One of our admin staff forgot to do this on a vehicle that we wrote off, damage passed to our usual recipient, and they sold it on. And they didn't do anything with the V5 either. The car is now touring North and East London gathering parking tickets and as V5 still registered to our address, we're receiving them.

The last keeper, so the sooner it's sent off the more the refund

In terms of the tax refund we won't get this month's tax refunded whenever it gets there. They only refund full months, so there is three weeks leeway in this case

Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? on 21:09 - Sep 4 with 4132 views | Nutkins_Return | Yes I seem to recall the same and it was ok in the end but I remember questioning it. Won't ever sell to them again though. The way they give you quote to get you in, waste your time and then give you a much lower quote knowing you just want to get out of there and get it sold. You feel like you have been mugged.

To be fair, this seems to have been a reasonably decent experience and their offer was higher than any trade-in, so all positive for us so far.

Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? on 07:53 - Sep 5 with 3616 views | bluelagos | They offered me £49.99 for a car, less an admin fee would have left me with like £12 To be fair the car was a pile of sh1te but it had half a tank of fuel so declined their offer and got rid via gumtree for £250 The bloke who bought it wasn't going to fill in the name part on the V5 until I said no name no sale. He then got on the phone (think he was a Russian) to ask his mate to confirm what his name was before paying in cash. He didn't even test drive it. Not remotely dodgy and definitely not buying a car to do any sort of cross channel smuggling.

Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? on 08:08 - Sep 5 with 3579 views | OldFart71 | A couple of years ago I traded my Mercedes C Class 2008 in for a BMW 1 Series 2012. To a garage on the A12. A week or so later I received a letter from Dartford over a non payment. I contacted the garage and they said send the letter to us and we will sort it. I didn't. I sent the receipt for the trade in and the new vehicle I'd bought to the people that run the Dartford charge. Never heard any more. Have my doubts if I had sent it to the garage that they would have paid the charge as I had to chase up the V5 with the DVLA.
Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? on 08:23 - Sep 5 with 3536 views | GeoffSentence | Got notification from the DVLA of the sale of the car and tax refund this morning. So i had nothing to be concerned about and it was all done quickly.

Anyone here sold a car to webuyanycar? on 08:58 - Sep 5 with 3439 views | ElephantintheRoom | Yes I sold a high value car to them in very suspicious circumstances at a serviced office car park at Stansted Airport. Two women with clipboards appeared and ticked lots of boxes - then claimed it didn’t have a full service history even though it did. However the sum they knocked off the price was minuscule - about one tenth of a service cost. And I watched them drive away with the log book mildly concerned but I could see the Tracker was working. Within a couple of hours my phone told me the money had arrived. Far more than I was offered anywhere else and avoiding all need to sell privately, thus avoiding crooks and time wasters. I was very impressed if a touch baffled.
