Shame his Simod Cup winner wasn't on there but a lot of his goals would've come in the that era before season review videos and TV highlight shows.
Pretty sure he tied for top scorer one year with either Dalian or Jason.
A few 95/96 goals there. That was the season there seemed to be a mini pitch invasion after every goal for some reason.
I still hold out hope that someone’s going to find an old VHS tape at a car boot sale and discover it’s fan footage taken from the simod cup game by fan who smuggled in an old school video recorder.

And of the balmy evening. Never forget the balmy evening.
Thanks for putting that together, it's excellent and some great goals.
Milts has been a really good mate for nearly 20 years now, can't speak highly enough of him, both personally and for what he now contributes to our club. So glad he's back involved at a high level after the way Evans & Co. messed him around.
As a player he was so underrated and what a bargain to boot.

The Simod Cup was 88 against Nodge, close to Christmas. Extra time winner, cracking night.
Not sure what was better, the goal against Fulham, the celebration, or Claus Thomsen not getting the memo and being left behind when they 'stretchered' Milton away.

The evolution of our goal nets! Lovely sag, to 'the sticks'!
Our nets had a great sag until they switched them. Didn't like it then as the ball just seemed to bounce back out of the goal more.
Not quite as bad as the old ones at the Dell in the 80s. The ball would practically go back to the half way line after a strike from Steve Moran or Danny Wallace.

Do you remember the old Luton town nets when they had the plastic pitch. They were great, but it seemed you had to keep gathering up the net for about 5 minutes to get the ball out of the goal. I always wanted nets like that in my garden.

Oh yes. Those Luton nets were great.
Made me think of some of the ones you used to get in South America where the net seemed to go forever and retrieving the ball from it was like going under the scramble net on the Krypton Factor.

A great reminder of just what a good finisher he was. If some of those were scored in the current Premier League they'd be speaking about them for years.
I was there too, behind the goal not too far from the mouldy old shack in the corner (‘the Cottage’). The ‘dead body’ celebration was hilarious and the goal pretty spectacular too.
I was working in Putney at the time and slipped off early for a few pre match ‘liveners’ with a couple of chums in the Fox & Hounds before ambling over Putney Bridge. The toilets behind the goal were fetid portaloo ones next to the worst ever burger stall I’ve ever encountered. People were rocking and booting the plastic sh£tboxes, so the sane if slightly merry made other arrangements.
Great night - aah football in the 90s huh?
Edit: Milton was a decent player. He came late to the professional game and made the most of it. He’s done an awful lot for ITFC.

Slightly off topic, but I played on that plastic pitch. I remember a teammate put a fantastic ball over the opposition defence for me to run onto. I was pretty quick back then but I swear it kept accelerating until it ran out of play. Had it not hit the advertising boards behind the goal, it would probaby still be travelling over 30 years later!
