*is* a Premier League midfielder, isn't he? Not just that he plays for a club who are playing in the Premier League. But he, personally, has demonstrated that he absolutely belongs there.

No question. Playing against some of the best in the position in the world he completely held his own.

It's quite remarkable that we were able to convince him to drop to League One.

He looks like a player who's been there his whole career, just so at ease already.

What a stroke of fortune for him that after dropping down for Cook, he ends up with McKenna who has helped Samy elevate his game to a level i doubt even deep down he thought was possible.

Obviously Morsy deserves the bulk of the credit for that, as he is the one who has done it but he wouldn't be as good without this manager

He's got one of the best engines I think I've ever seen. If only he was 10 years younger!

I think the whole environment contributed as well.

The atmosphere of a club undergoing renewal on and off the pitch. Dynamic, upward-thinking leadership from the new owners and Chief Exec. Clear structures and responsibilities. Solid and non-dubious financial backing.

Fans welcoming and relatively easily pleased, as, coming out of a time in the doldrums, any improvement grasped with enthusiasm.

All this with solid foundations in the history and traditions of the club. The community element. The fact it's a relatively nice area (c.f. how many former players have settled in and around Ipswich).

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I am gutted that his daughter's lucky tutu's 100% undefeated record has been lost, though!

Our Egyptian King is putting down roots long term here too. He's just moved into the Stowmarket area I'm told.

I almost made a post after the Fulham game, that it's quite amazing that looking at him and Phillips you'd think Morsy was the seasoned Premier league player. Incredible 3 years ago one was in league 1 and the other voted England's player of the year. If ever a indication of McKenna's remarkable coaching is needed this would be it.

Saw a stat earlier on x that he had the most duels won in the league so far.

With him and phillips together it's gonna work a treat.

a niche perspective

That's the 'other 14' - would be interested to see how he compares with the top 6 as well?
I don't think he'd be that far off those either?
