I did after watching him for utd in the champions league.
But.. I never ever thought he'd play more than 1 game as his injury record was awful. God know what we did with him that multi million utd couldn't.

There may come a time this season when Johnson might regret the comment he made about not wanting to be known for playing to many positions.

Davis performs like that each week he will get that England call up.
He's learnt a lot from those opening games. No leaving a leg in. Dropping deep at the right times. Not going to far forward when not ideal time to do so.
Think it also helped that phillips helped him out with the runners too. | |

Wouldn't go as far as that, but I never felt he had the same affinity for the club like others. Think he took short term deals because it suited him.... and now he's an attractive proposition as a free- signing. He played it well.
Did 2 years for us and was a good player ( when fit) so I'm not bitter. Plenty of players who've passed through our doors who were a waste of space. | | | |
